While the BOSS FS-1-WL comes with a trio of rugged footswitches to allow for a wide range of setup configurations, that’s only the beginning of the FS-1-WL’s utility! Additional jacks are available to add up to two more external footswitches for expanded functionality and control. Last but not least, the FS-1-WL also includes a jack to add an expression pedal, allowing for effortless, instantaneous fine tuning.
Send MIDI or keyboard commands
A rear-panel switch allows you to switch your FS-1-WL between MIDI mode and HID mode, offering versatile control over a variety of different devices: MIDI mode sends PC/CC messages for functionality with MIDI-compatible devices, while HID mode sends keyboard commands (or combinations of keyboard commands for use with macros) to control programs and devices. Besides the FS-1-WL’s built-in Bluetooth functionality, this wireless footswitch can also be set up with a standard TRS MIDI cable or USB (HID mode not supported with USB) if you’re looking to stick to an old-school wired rig.
